Yvette discusses the New York Times bestselling book "The Color of Law" by Richard Rothstein with African studies scholar and international development specialist Dr. Tahiya McCoy Nyahuma.  Currently a professor in the Sociology Department at Rowan University, Dr. Nyahuma choose "The Color of Law" for her Critical Race Theory class. The book explores the government's role in racial inequity with the establishment of imposed racial zoning, tax exemptions for racist institutions, racial restrictive covenants, subsidies for builders to create whites-only communities, and other direct government-initiated actions. The book helps inform today's observation of racial disparity which resulted from an unconstitutional past and which is in need of government-supported remedy.
